ગોખેલે બેઠો છે ગોખેલો

વિજ્ઞાનમેળા, નિબંધ સ્પર્ધા,વક્તૃત્વ હરિફાઈ અને નાટકો  જેવી પ્રવૃત્તિઓ વખતે સ્મૃતિનો જયજયકાર થતો જોવા મળે છે. જે વિદ્યાર્થી સડસડાટ અને કડકડાટ બોલી જાય એની વાહ વાહ થાય, એને આર્થિક,સામજિક લાભ થાય અને એવા વિદ્યાર્થીને 'શાળાનું નામ રોશન કરનાર તારક' ની ઉપાધિ(ધી) અપાય. છોગામાં ગણમાન્ય મહેમાનો પણ તેને બિરદાવે છે. આ માહોલ એક સંદેશો વહેતો કરે, સફળતા એટલે આ-બાહરી વાહવાહી
આવા કડકડતા વિદ્યાર્થીઓ સ્મૃતિનો ભાર વેંઢારતા વાહનો બની જાય છે. પોતે જે રજુ કરે છે એનો અર્થ એને ખબર નથી હોતી. આવી અભાનાવસ્થા માટે એને શાબાશી મળી રહી છે. આ વિદ્યાર્થી અને અન સખાઓ શું શીખી રહ્યા છે?- કે આ દુનિયામાં આવી સંતાકુકડી કરનાર જ સફળ છે, કે સમજણ કરતાં ગોખણ (એ પાછું જ્ઞાન પણ નથી હોતું, હોય છે ફક્ત સ્મૃતિ .) વધુ મહત્વનું છે.
આવા ગોખણીયા ગોટલા અંગે આપનું શું માનવું છે? (મહેરબાની કરીને ગોખેલો ઉત્તર ના આપશો.)

ગુર્જરી સંગીત

આસપાસના માહોલમાં ઊંચા અવાજે આક્રમણ કરતાં દ્વિઅર્થી ગીતોથી કુમળા મનને કેમ સુરક્ષિત રાખવા? આ ચિંતાના ચિંતનમાંથી આ પ્રયોગ જનમ્યો. મહિને ઓછામાં ઓછું એક ગીત શીખવું  એમ ઠેરવાયુ. અને આરંભાઈ અમારી ગુર્જરી સંગીત યાત્રા. શરૂઆત 'હું ને ચંદુ છાના માના' થી થઇ જે ઇન્સ્ટન્ટ હીટ નીવડ્યું.  શરૂઆતમાં એવી આશંકા રહેતી કે બાળકો શાસ્ત્રીય સ્પર્શવાળા ગીતો ઝીલશે કે કેમ? પણ, કન્યાઓ છે અને આમ પણ, ગુજરાતીને ગરબો ગાતા આવડે એટલે  લય- તાલ તો એને હૃદયે પહોંચેલા જ હોય. એમ ધારી હળવેથી સંગીતની બારીકીઓ ઉમેરવી શરુ કરી. ઝડપી  અને ઉંચા અવાજનો ભેદ, સુરની કેટલીક બારીકીઓ, લય અને તાલની કેળવણી પણ ઉમેરાયા, આ બધું શીખાઈ રહ્યું છે એના પ્રત્યક્ષ ભાન વગર. હાલ અમારી સમૂહ ગાન યાદીમાં લોકગીતો અને  સુગમ સંગીતના ગીતો ય છે. ૪૦૦+  ગળા સમૂહમાં આ ગીતો રેલાવે ત્યારે અદભૂત માહોલ રચાય છે.

એકવાર ગીત કંઠસ્થ થાય પછી એની ભાષાકીય ખૂબીઓ પણ હળવેથી ચર્ચવાની. 'કવિએ અહીં આ શબ્દ જ કેમ મુક્યો હશે?, આ બે પંક્તિઓનું જ જોડાણ કેમ છે? આ પંક્તિ સાંભળી તમને શું યાદ આવે? ' વગેરે જેવા પ્રશ્નો ચર્ચાય.

અને જયારે વિદ્યાર્થીઓને આવા મધુરા,મીઠાં ગીતો ગણગણતા સાંભળીએ ત્યારે ગુર્જરીને ચહેરે સ્મિત ફરકતું જોઈ શકાય.

હાલ ગવાતા ગીતો :

હું ને ચંદુ છાનામાના ...
પાન લીલું જોયું ને...
આ નભ ઝૂક્યું તે કાનજી -પ્રિયકાંત મણિયાર
ઓચિંતું કોઈ મને રસ્તે મળે -ધ્રુવ ભટ્ટ
પંખીઓએ કલશોર કર્યો..
એક ઝાડ માથે ઝુમખડું -મેઘાણી
ભોમિયા વીના મારે ભમવા'તા ડુંગરા- ઉમાશંકર જોશી
માડી તારું કંકુ ખર્યું ને..
ઉંબરે ઉભી સંભાળું બોલ વાલમના..
એકડો સાવ સળેકડો..
એક જાદુગર એવો..
સ્કુલ ચલે હમ..


ઉપરાંત કાવ્યો તો ખરા જ, સુર ની બારીકીઓ સાથે.
અને હા, અમારે ત્યાં 'વંદે માતરમ્'  દેશ રાગમાં જ ગવાય છે.

ગુણોત્સવ 

 ગુણોત્સવ સંદર્ભે જીલ્લા કક્ષાએથી અધિકારીઓએ બીજા વર્ષે પણ અમારી શાળાની  મુલાકાત કીધી.. શૈક્ષણિક ભાવાવરણની પ્રશંશા સાથે જે ખાસ નિવેદન તેમણે કર્યું તે આમ હતું :' આ શાળાના વિદ્યાર્થીઓના ચહેરા પર ચમક છે, ડર નથી.' ધોરણ ૭ના વિદ્યાર્થીઓએ તો વર્ગ મુલાકાત લેનાર અધિકારીનો ઇન્ટરવ્યું પણ લીધો. શ્રી ક્રિસ્ટી સાહેબે કહ્યું કે આ અનુભવ તેમના માટે નવો જ છે.  ક્રિસ્ટી સાહેબએ શું અનુભવ્યું ? જુઓ બાજુના ફોટામાં .

Guest

A special guest has visited our school on 12 and 13th January 2011 : Deborah Bullivant, the project director of Inspire Rotherham ,U.K.We had a one year old friendship with the schools linked with Inspire Rotherham. Our students have wrote letters to the students of linked schools and they got replies .

Deborah has attended our assembly and she was very happy to know that the students organize the assembly. She talked for one hour with the students of class 7 , asked them few questions and answered their questions as well. She was impressed by the confidence of the students to interact with a stranger. Then she has visited all the classes of our school to get an idea of various activities of the school. Classes 4 to 7 has presented her some of the craft work pieces prepared by the students.

On 13th, we has visited some parents at their homes. We enjoyed the warm welcome by the parents and discussed Educational matters with them.Deborah was so touched with the experience that she became emotional when she narrated it later on.

The visit has come out as a wonderful idea-exchange programme for both sides. We are going to set a link among our students so we might explore cross border peer group learning!

Pravas, 09-10

Action Songs-2010

Action Song is a jovial way to learn rhythm and the beauty of language. 'Children's rhymes/action songs are a rare resource of highly creative and energitic forms of language. Mono Acting

In his book ' The Child's Language and The teacher'(NBT) Krishna Kumar writes that children use the language in various ways and some of them are :i)Children often talk about what they are doing at the time they are doing it. ii) Children talk about things to show their knowledge of 'how' a thing happened.
